Jafar
Name: Jafar
Nickname: The Greatest Sorcerer, Red Genie
Canon or OC: Canon
Fandom: Aladdin 1992
Age: Unknown estimated 40 years old
Species: Human
Name of Homeworld: Agrabah
Sexuality: Straight
Face Claim: Aladdin 1992
Appearance: Jafar is very tall. By guestimate, he appears to be in his 40s. He is dark-skinned. Jafar has two large, bony hands. Jafar has a pencil-thin beard. He wears robes of dark and red. The dark black robes symbolize evil or darkness that is within him. He stands at a tall stance almost commanding others under him. Some have found him to be intimidating as he has a calm, cool, and collected personality. At a time, he had a companion named Iago who always rested on his shoulder, but Iago changed sides. Jafar is also not seen very far without his sorcerer staff as he goes everywhere with it since it is a symbol of his power. He also wears a hat similar to the sultan marking his high rank, where it has a ruby gemstone in the center. It was believed, that Jafar transferred some of his energy and power into it.
Weapons:
Sorcerer Staff: While it holds most of Jafar's magical abilities. Jafar's snake staff stands up towards his torso. It is a golden snake with red ruby-colored eyes. It is rather durable until Aladdin shattered it. Jafar has shown to have impressive combative abilities while holding his own with it. He can use the staff as a club hitting others with it or even defending himself such as moves that you might see from karate. He can block swords, sticks, or even knives by it.
Powers/Magic
-Alchemy: Jafar has shown to have incredible knowledge of arcane lore, for the days of Agrabah. He is more described as an alchemist since he used his snake staff to hypnotize the sultan and Jasmine more than once.
-Sorcery: After Jafar wished himself from the Genie it appeared most of his knowledge and abilities had stayed. While he is no longer able to transform into a genie himself. His abilities were from unraveling the Magic Carpet, to changing the age of Jasmine's tiger Raja into a cub again and also unclothing the Sultan. Some more impressive abilities of Jafar included putting Jasmine in an old sand time capsule and then transforming into a snake when he fought Aladdin. It seems his knowledge is rather capable of other things such as teleportation and travel since he sent Aladdin halfway across the desert. Due to his sorcery abilities, it appears Jafar can live for about 100 years older as his life has been extended, and his age has slowed down.
-Master of Disguise: Jafar has shown to be incredibly knowledgeable in the use of disguises. He had tricked Aladdin to getting the lamp from the Cave of Wonders, by using the disguise of an old beggar that had been in the same jail as him. He almost got away with it too until Alladin's monkey Abu had pickpocketed him from the lamp.
After Jafar's death, he no longer possesses the genie powers returning him to a normal human.
Physical Abilities:
None
Weaknesses:
-Greedy: Jafar is very greedy and is willing to take the lengths and risks to get what he wants. He will not care of the consequences that he will take to get them or if it hurts others or himself.
-Still Human: Jafar is still human and therefore can be killed by weapons, poisons, or any other means of death.
-Magic Blocking: If his staff is taken away, Jafar can still use some of his powers. However if someone has the abilities to block magic or even take away his staff Jafar will be incredibly weaker.
-Egotistical: Jafar is all about himself. He cares not for the humans that quake under his feet. He has always grabbed power for himself and not stopped at any means necessary. He has shown to have a large ego and maybe a bit narcissist and sadistic.
-Power hungry: Jafar has always wanted more and more power for himself. This already coasted himself twice as he became a Genie one time and was trapped in a lamp. The second time pretty much killed him as Jafar wanted all of the power to himself and was electrocuted as his lamp melted away.

Personality:
Jafar's personality can be described, as greedy, power-hungry, narcissistic, and a psychopath. He will stop at nothing to try and get what he wants. He will often remove enemies, who are blocking his way. Jafar has shown to be very clever and cunning as he tricked Aladdin using a disguise to get him to go into the Cave of Wonder. He has often thought of himself as becoming the greatest sultan, and even the greatest sorcerer of all time. However, one has managed to beat him at that, the genie himself. When he wasn't scheming. Jafar is portrayed as cool, calm, and collected. And as well as an advisor towards the throne, in Agrabah. Jafar has shown intensive knowledge in alchemy, and sorcery.
Jafar detests being second best at everything as he dislikes being second after the Genie, and not being in charge as the Sultan ruled. Jafar will often go to great lengths to try and get what he wants. Jafar has also shown a bit of a dark comical side. He laughed at the idea of Aladdin and his friends beheading them.
Jafar can manipulate others. He did with Abis Mal, who went to get the lamp in the second film. He could manipulate Abis Mal with greed and bribery, to get revenge on Aladdin. While he manipulate his first and only owner of the lamp, to get what he wanted. Jafar also manipulates Jasmine in several attempts to try and make and force her to become his queen and future ruler. However, Jasmine wanted none of it.
History:
Not much is known about Jafar in his younger years. In some deleted scenes, Jafar appears to live off the streets much like Aladdin. Jafar doesn't seem to have any family. However, he came from poverty and had grown up poor. His rise to power came later on in life as he studied alchemy and sorcery in his free time for knowledge. Jafar later would be asked by the current Sultan, to become his advisor to help rule the kingdom and do some of the daily tasks. Jafar soon began to grow power-hungry and interested in the throne himself. While the Sultan, Jasmine's father, was trying to find a way to marry her off, he would soon find a way to try and get his place as Sultan himself.
Jafar would be seen at the Cave of Wonder sometime later as he sent a man from Agrabah to help him find the Cave of Wonder. The advisor, set a scarab beetle together as it went flying and Jafar chased it on his horse through the desert. Soon a large feline appeared with the mouth of the cave inside him. The feline's voice said, "Only the Diamond in the Rough" Can go through the cave. Taking the chance, he stepped inside, and everything seemed fine. However, the feline deemed the man not worthy and ate him. Leaving nothing left but a pile of sand. Disappointed, Jafar took the scarab beetle back to Agrabah to find out what to do next.
He quickly went to work to find out who the "Diamond in the Rough" Was or meant as he used his alchemy. After putting the beetle into a machine, the images came to life, showing a street rat named Aladdin. At first, he was appalled to see that Aladdin was the one who was the Diamond in the Rough. Yet, he wouldn't understand much later that Aladdin was the son of the King of Thieves.
Things would change as the street rat named Aladdin arrived as Jasmine quickly fled the palace one night and wanted to see the city of Agrabah not confined in the palace. She got away for several hours until the guards learned that she had tried to take an apple without paying for it. Even worse, Abu had stolen all kinds of other items such as gems and food. The three were quickly on the run, and the guards alerted as Jasmine took her back to the palace while Aladdin was put in jail. While Jasmine sulked, she felt terrible for what had happened. Jafar told her news and a lie. That he would be beheaded, and she'd never see him again. Jafar later let Jasmine weep. He went down into the dungeon. where Aladdin was being held in the dungeon, Jafar disguised himself as a beggar. Jafar freed Aladdin only after showing him some shiny gems, he had found from the Cave of Wonder. Jafar told him of the riches and cave of wonder that had been there for centuries. Jafar was looking for the right person. The two traveled deeper into the desert to where the largemouth of the cave was. Jafar waited as Aladdin went to retrieve the lamp. However, Abu was greedy as he touched a gem made in the form of a Monkey.
Aladdin, Abu, and the magic carpet tried to escape the Cave of Wonder as it slowly turned into lava. They almost got out. Jafar asked for the lamp. Aladdin handed it over, as he threw him back into the cave while Abu had the last laugh to take the lamp. However, Jafar would throw a fit of anger after discovering that the lamp was gone, and so was his prize.
Defeated, Jafar returned to the palace as a short time later, Prince Ali arrived at the palace, to attempt to impress Jasmine. Jafar was immediately suspicious of Prince Ali. Once he was alone, he tried to kidnap him and threw him in the water with weights so that would be the last time he'd see him again. Aladdin was rescued, by a wish, to the genie. Jafar wouldn't learn of this until the day that he would be honored as Sultan. Frustrated, Jafar quickly took desperate measures as Iago stole the lamp. Now, with the genie in his hand, Jafar wished to be Sultan and became an all-powerful sorcerer. He sent Aladdin into the desert. They believed that was the last of him, again. However, Aladdin arrived a short time later, as he had his magical carpet. By now, Jafar had managed to get his spot on the throne and almost kissed Jasmine as she distracted him. Aladdin tried to grab the lamp, and a fight started between the two. Jafar turned into a giant snake, and Aladdin took a sword before swiping and stabbing him with it.
Aladdin had one final trick up his sleeve as Jafar would ask the genie for his final wish: to turn into a genie himself. With the transformation complete, Jafar sucked into the lamp. The Genie sent Jafar's lamp, flying into the desert, never to be seen again. Jafar would later be killed, and his genie powers stripped.
He went through a portal and would later find himself in the Lord of the Dead himself. Hades, would later find him, and soon try to recruit him for Tex Hex's villain group, and revive him from the dead. Jafar would also attempt to claim a piece of the desert, at the oasis. Where Jafar made his palace eventually became sultan, and what he desired there.
