Good Grief. Of all the things to go wrong things had indeed gone wrong. As Miguel had made a huge Spider Society for Nueva York. He watched it crumble to dust and here he was picking up the pieces for the newest members that got lost here. While he was still angry with Miles, he was pretty sure the others who survived could pick up the pieces where he left off. Miles would be captured one way or another. As he was looking at the screen monitors there was vital information of the city and watching the cameras that was there.
The monitors showed no activity for now. It was pretty quiet. And that was either really good. Or the start of something bad was about to happen. Miguel could not figure out what. And it was starting to bother him. He knew that they would show their faces sooner rather than later. His eyes were starting to get heavy and sag. But he ignored it.
"Miguel you should take a break you have been at it for the past 24 hours and no rest." Lyla said. "I've been watching you your vitals do not look good." Lyla said as the AI appeared with pink heart glasses and red hair along with a lab coat.
"I'm busy." He said rather dryly.
"I can monitor these you look like you could fall asleep in your chair. I know when you're tired. We've been doing this for what... 20 years now?" Lyla said as Miguel clenched his fist.
"Fine." He said with a moan, as he knew that Lyla was right as he began to head out letting her monitor the city. While it was quiet for now, he knew that there might be a chance at any minute for other villains may appear at any moment. The quietness was the worst part and Miguel knew it. At least he was headed towards the dining hall to get something to eat. The Spider Society was cloaked in a veil and only those invited usually got a spot at the table there. It was a huge sky scraper that Miguel worked together with builders, bots, and drones to make such an impressive building. It was hiding in plain sight. As he arrived at the cafeteria the last thing he wanted to do was to talk with other people let alone spiders. He was better off by himself. But Lyla had been right. He needed a break and a workaholic and no break was a bad combination. But all he could do was stare down at his coffee and look at it as if he was deep in thought. There was so much work to do. And so little time.
But Miguel couldn't even relax here as he felt his eyes drift off to sleep. The blaring alarm of someone who was trying to enter the building. "Miguel, someone is attempting breaking into the building. On sector 8." Lyla said. "I'll be there call the spiders for help. I'll make sure this is taken care of." Miguel said as he put his mask on as he began to climb down the elevator as the lights and alarms were flashing as he was no longer in that serious calm mood from earlier. No he was quiet annoyed.

Rumors were like threads of a spider's web. They could be followed if one knew where to look.
Median City was certainly...different. But, like New York City and other major cities, there was always a dark underbelly in that glittering city of steel, glass, and brick, a network of criminals and informants that would give anything for the right price or means or persuasion. Since Sarah was relatively new to the dimension, that was what she had been doing, gathering information and attempting to piece together what was occurring there. In so doing however, Sarah had unexpectedly discovered that there were more Spiders roaming around, more so those of the heroic variety. But it had taken longer still to get a general idea of where she could find these Spiders.
Once she had narrowed the area, Sarah meticulously wove several very thin, barely visible astral energy threads near the area she had been told there was a high concentration of activity. These threads were tied directly to her mind, allowing her to feel vibrations and disturbances wherever she wove them. She had done a bit of psionic recon, discovering recent impressions from the buildings of several masked individuals with spider themes had been coming and going from this area, a few of which had become familiar to her. Finally, one such unsuspecting hero came swinging through, pulling Sarah's attention from going through her notes regarding Median and immediately peering from over a roof of a building, her six eyes narrowing as she watched the spidey swing along seemingly unaware of her presence. She waited, patiently giving distance before she followed the individual, moving swiftly across the rooftops and occasionally having to swing after.
Once they seemed to slow down, drawing to an area that seemed empty, Sarah's eyes glowed red behind her mask, spotting several heat signatures in a skyscraper, carefully cloaked by some unknown technology. "Now that's worth checking out." She muttered to herself, landing on her last swing. Feeling the spider in question had served their purpose, Sarah finally made her move snarling as she leapt with the full strength of her legs as the spider made a final leaping, hearing the surprised yell of a deep baritone voice, sending them both disappearing through the cloaked field and crashing through the glass. "Thanks for the help." Sarah growled before slamming the Spidey's head against the floor to knock them out, looking up when alarms started going off followed by flashing red lights. This was soon followed by the alert of a nearby elevator, Sarah turning her gaze towards Miguel, "Sorry, was there a front door I was required to check in at?" She asked mockingly.

Miguel sighed. His patience was waning at this point, as he had already dealt with the frustration of Miles; now he had to deal with this newcomer. If anything, he would rather let someone else pick up the pieces, as that was what he had done all his life. Pick up someone else’s mess that had been left to clean up, and that was getting very tiring.
"Look, you think you’re not the first one who has broken in and come in here? I’m so tired of picking up after you fools and the mess that you leave behind. Do you want a trophy for it?" Miguel asked. There was of course the dry sense of humor Miguel had. He was even a bit cranky and had every right to be at this point. "This place is supposed to be a safe haven for spiders. And from the looks of things, you’re not exactly a spider.” Miguel said. But she did look awfully familiar. As Miguel had seen many spiders, something about her seemed familiar. “As I once again, put back the pieces, and see if we can bring everyone home,” Of course, there he went again, putting everything on his shoulders, hoping that things would be okay again. Of course, this time he had a fear that no one could go back to their home.
“Who the hell are you anyway?" Miguel finally asked the elephant in the room. Not much scared him, not even intimidation. "You have the nerve to walk in here and step all over my men like you own the place. I brought this building up from the bottom to the top. You can either leave through the way you came in." Miguel said as he flipped his mask over his face, showing the eyeless sockets behind the blue mask of his, and the claws came out. The same ones that he had since he tried to dig them into Miles’ shoulder to get rid of the pain in his side. He had another one.
“Miguel, you need to watch it.” Of course, he ignored the AI that she had made. She was right. But there was something that he had to attend too, and he was on his last nerves.
“Or I throw you out myself.”
And that was the last straw, sending red webbing towards the mysterious spider as he jumped up past one of the other spiders, nearly knocking his plate over as it raddled in place to get close enough to strike with metallic claws. And while he was a distraction, more and more of the building's alarms were going off, and distractions were in place. The building would be in lockdown before he knew it.
