Kaine would've given anything to be in the spaceship right about now. He came to Median on occasions to see how things were going. But he was pretty sure he took the wrong turn somewhere and wound up in a graveyard. He knew this could only get worse and worse. He had to scurry to cover up high on someone's burial site. He felt bad. But it was the only form of cover that he saw for miles. And his spidey sense was going off like crazy. Like that tingle in the back of your head you couldn't scratch. This one was alert to danger all around. Then that girl. She was a welcomed sight and seemed to know what she was doing.
"Slash them and aim for the head? Can do on that one." Kaine repeated. While he was clinging to the mausoleum that he had climbed up earlier, the moans of the zombies could be heard all around, and large red eyes could be seen. Kaine was not at all thrilled by this. But he was a survivor; he had been through worse in his dimension and in Ellusion. He could slash them. As far as he was concerned, zombies weren't alive, but somewhere in between. He was pretty sure they had died. Someone had the joy of bringing them back. Or somebody, for that matter. He just wondered what kind of sick person would do that.
"So what's your name? I know this is a bad time for small talk, but I figured we could get that out of the way. The name's Scarlet Spider, or you can call me Kaine." Kaine said. As he jumped down, he was tired of his hiding spot as his stingers came out of his wrists. While he did not have Adamantium like Wolverine did, he was not afraid of getting his hands dirty; he was supposed to be the villain in his dimension. So he knew how to handle himself. As he went through and through, the nearest zombie had been the unluckiest one as he went and managed to hack off his harm while he was holding what looked like a pitchfork. That was easy enough. He grabbed the pitchfork with his webbing and slammed it against the ground before aiming a slash at the head. Bloody and all, he was pretty sure the zombie would've seen this coming. Albeit, they were a bit slower than he was. They didn't seem to run.
"So what are these things? Zombies? Shadows? Any ideas? And how do we get rid of them?" Kaine asked. He had a gift for Gab, but he knew this was not the time for it. He just wanted to know the important stuff as he felt his heart racing. There were a few more zombies around the corner, as he knew that they would be rising from the dead. As there were plenty more moans heard all around, Kaine was ready to give up all his fighting here. Least take some of his frustration out while he was here in the graveyard and figure out how to get out of here among the fallen and broken tomb stones.

If her time in Elusion had taught her anything, it was that safety was a temporary state of being. It didn’t matter where she was, who she was with, or what weapons she had on her person. She was never truly safe. Her paranoia seemed to have grown as of late, not that she allowed it to show, she would hate to worry Ash or anyone else. While her days had become mundane, her mind remained sharp with a survivor’s edge. Her aptitude for survival came in handy in moments such as these.
She grit her teeth as she fought side by side with some strange looking man in spandex. He almost appeared to be like those old comic book characters her and AJ were so fond of, and he held his own like one of them too. It wasn’t everyday that someone who came from a non-apocalyptic world took engaging with the undead in such stride. Kaine had no such issue.
With a bout of finesse, Clementine kicked the back of the walker’s knee causing it to stumble to the ground, afterward she quickly dispatched the creature with a stab to the back of the skull. “Yep, that’s how you do it. They’re slow and dumb, but if they corner you they can get real dangerous.” She informed as she weaved between the walkers for a less compromising position.
“Bad time for small talk?” She chuckled as she kicked the back of another walker, a large stocky one, and moved in for the kill. “I‘ll say. The name is Clementine.” She gave a small shout as a hand reached from one of the graves below, clutching tightly on to her ankle and locking her in place. Shit. “Hey! Need some help over here!” She called over to her fellow survivor as she used her free foot to kick back another approaching zombie. “Use your little web-doohickey or something!”
“These things definitely look like walkers, er, zombies to me. We should be able to cut them down between the two of us. Or could make a break for it.” Casting a glance over her shoulder she spotted a small opening in the crowd of walkers. Normally, the groans of the dead made it too difficult to think, but to her they brought a sense of clarity. “There might be an old grain silo somewhere around here we can take refuge in, at least until this herd passes. Sound good to you?”

Clementine? He had never heard of anyone called that before. Except maybe the fruit. “It’s just called webbing. Never mind.” Kaine admitted. He was grateful to have some help. Any kind of help. “Spider-Man, he's my brother; I don't know if you’ve heard of him.” Kaine said. While he had gotten a little bit better at accepting that idea, Kaine always gritted his teeth a little at the mention of Peter. The two were more different than you could possibly imagine. The graveyard was spooky and covered in mist, but as he looked ahead, he did see the silo that she was talking about. That sounded like refuge.
But Kaine was sure that they were going to be temporary allies. “I would normally say nice to meet you. But considering the circumstances, we’ll do that stuff later.” Kaine said. The antihero began to climb up a fallen log to retreat to where Clementine was located. He sent his wrist out forward and began to cover one of the zombie’s legs to slow them down a bit. The sticky web fluid would hang around for a while. “I take it you’ve fought these things before.” Well, that was a dumb question. Way to point out the obvious.
Kaine would remind himself that the cemeteries had been nothing but bad luck for him. There was the werewolf attack awhile back when he was in Elusion. Then there was the attack with the statue angles that would turn you to stone with Otto, and he forgot what that doctor’s name was. Only after that did he find him really annoying and naggy. Regardless, he likely wasn’t going to be stepping into a cemetery any time soon after this.
“I can slow them down with the webbing. Also I can hack and slash with my stingers. But that sounds like a good plan. We can take shelter there.” Kaine said. “Don’t worry about me. They won’t be able to sneak up on me.” Kaine assured Clementine. He had gotten through worse things before, as he had his stingers out still and slashed at one of their legs, causing one of the poor fellows to fall forward and then limp on the other one before slashing that one off. Sure, the damage might’ve looked a little brutal. But Kaine was pretty sure there wasn’t any soul left in these people. They were just mindless. "And we need to help clear a path.” He added that it looked like there were more zombies to come.
