[Puck]

Long fingers drummed upon the table's smooth surface while the other five tucked a strand of white hair behind an uncharacteristically rounded ear. Sure, this world was chock-full of strange people and creatures, but Puck couldn't be sure exactly how well received his true nature might have been. He had, after all, spent the last thousand years or more in hiding for a reason. A more human form just made him feel that much safer. 

Blue eyes slid down to the phone that lay upon the table. It was a flat, rectangular thing that lacked buttons save for a few on the sides and was operated almost solely through the use of its touch-screen. An incredible piece of technology that had taken less time to get used to than he'd anticipated. Scooping the device up, he opened up his text messages and began to type.

Place is pretty busy, so I got us a table. Can't wait to finally meet you! :^) 

The instant he pressed send, he began to second guess himself. Was the smiley too much? And maybe that last part wasn't necessary... Did he run the risk of looking to excited? He didn't want to come across as desperate. Come on, Puck, you used to be so good at this sort of thing!

[Dr. Casper Darling]

While his date went in and got a table for them both, Casper Darling was still sitting in his car in the parking lot. Specifically, he was staring at himself in his visor mirror, trying to figure out if he should take his lab coat off before going in. On the one hand, he was very nervous about what he had realized half an hour ago was the first time he'd ever openly been on a date in a public place, and he normally always wore the coat to do stressful or dangerous things. On the other, it would be bizarre and potentially offputting to wear a lab coat to a date in a restaurant like this.

Other than the lab coat, he was, he thought, looking extremely dapper. He was wearing his best slacks-the ones Zach had once jokingly banned him from wearing to work because they did such amazing things for his ass they'd been deemed 'utterly indecent'. His shirt was crisp and well fitted, his bow tie painstakingly chosen to be dapper but a little fun, and his sweater vest was much more stylish than his usual fair isle whimsy. He just had to choose between the suit jacket he'd brought or his crisp white lab coat. Style or comfort?

"Ugh, just pick something, Darling" He told his reflection, and was promptly spooked by the ping of his cell phone. He'd worked at the Oldest House for so long that he'd never gotten used to modern cell phones, and for a moment his instincts suggested the ping was a warning device of some kind. He wheeled around, then realized it was his cell and let out a shaky chuckle.

Thanks, I'm just parking. I'll be right in! I'm excited to meet you too. (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤

He hit send and sighed, folding up the visor and opening his car door. There was no more time to waffle. He put his lab coat in his passenger seat and retrieved the suit jacket, shrugging it on as he exited the car and headed into the restaurant to look for his date

Okay. That emoticon was adorable. Points to Dr. Darling.

Stowing his phone away in his pocket, his eyes shifted to the door. Any moment now, his date would walk in. He glanced down at himself to reassure himself that his attire was a decent enough choice. He hadn't wanted to go too fancy, so kept things casual. A red short-sleeved button up hung open and loose over a dark blue t-shirt, dark blue jeans hugged his legs, tucking neatly into red and white hightops. The golden lyre that he usually wore as a brooch to pin his toga was now a small, glittering pendant that hung from a chain around his neck. His long hair had been tied back into a ponytail at the base of his neck, though a few strands at the temples had been allowed the freedom to frame his angular face.

Good enough, he surmised. It was just a casual first date at a little diner, after all.

But then his date walked in, and he realized his mistake. Either Dr. Darling always dressed like that, or he had expected this to be a more formal affair. In either case, Puck suddenly felt rather underdressed, and he hurriedly buttoned up his shirt before Darling could catch sight of him. A little magic to change his pants to black slacks and his hightops to black shoes, and he looked a little more presentable. He just hoped no one else would notice the inconsistencies.

[Laurie Strode]

Casper Darling was absolutely the guy who wore a suit to the grocery store. He would never have spared a thought to his date wearing jeans while he wore slacks and a jacket. What he did notice, however, was the beautiful man who'd been wearing an open button up and jeans the first time his eyes passed over him- assuming that his date was not, in fact, the most beautiful man he'd ever seen- was in a buttoned up shirt and slacks the second time. In his line of work noticing those sort of subtle changes was quite literally a matter of life and death. He couldn't be certain he hadn't just gotten his wires crossed, seeing as his mind was still a bit scattered after his nearly fatal exposure to Hedron. But it definitely put him on alert.

The discrepancy distracted him enough that it took him a moment to realize that the mysterious beauty was in fact his date after all. His whole face lit up in delight at the realization- a boyish grin that looked a bit incongruous on this man in his dignified suit. He approached Puck with that joy still clear on his face. "Hello there. You must be Robin? I hope? I'm Casper and I am delighted to meet you."
