''I see. Well, I don't recall seeing any magical animals in Kansas.'' One finger was under his face. Amos shrugged slowly. Bewilderment formed in his eyes for a moment. His head tilted to the side.
''How difficult is animal magic?'' Amos asked. Was it about having to register with the Ministry of Magic? He had no idea.
''I doubt my sermons could get wild animals to hear us. Not harm us. I guess it could be worth a try soon.'' There was another shrug.
Again, the heat wasn't remembered. The hat's wide brim managed to protect his eyes. He thought he heard other footsteps. Frowning again, Amos looked to the side. He wondered if he was hearing things. Probably from the heat? Now it was remembered another time.

"I see. Well, magical animals are usually far from Muggles in my world." Lucius raised an eyebrow at the question. "Exceedingly difficult, even for experienced wizards, Lucius replied. That was why it was heavily regulated.
"I cannot see it being successful." Wild animals didn't care for such things.
He glanced around as Amos did, hoping there wasn't anything else stalking them.

''It would take years for animal magic?'' Amos guessed. Then again, it took him years to become a preacher just like his father. ''Becoming a preacher is probably a lot easier than animal magic. I never thought that magic could be so difficult. I remember hearing about magicians onstage. Then again, if I remember correctly, they perform mere tricks. Illusions,'' he said.
As for giving sermons by animals?
''Sermons could work. Animals are intelligent. Maybe understanding,'' Amos said. Fine. Maybe not every animal. Most creatures were smart?
Sounds weren't heard any longer. Amos figured they were safe for now. He just never said such things. Why jinx them?

"Indeed, I have not heard of inexperienced wizards accomplishing it," Lucius responded. "Muggle tricks are not magic," he scoffed.
"I doubt it. Animals are not that complex. They do not care for such things." Sermons were for people.

''How do you know which wizards are more experienced? How complicated spells are?'' Amos shrugged and frowned at the same time. He was a bit surprised that he never viewed wizards in Kansas.
''I remember serving another alien in Smallville. Being near wizards until now? Not to my knowledge,'' Amos said. Then again, it wasn't as if he remembered seeing people walking around with wands.
''What are you going to do if you see a Muggle in this world?''
Maybe some things weren't worth finding out about.

"By age, generally. Older wizards usually have more experience." Lucius raised an eyebrow at the shrug and frown.
"We keep ourselves hidden," Lucius replied. After all, that was what the International Statute of Secrecy was for.
"I do not frequent non-magical areas, so finding a Muggle here would be unlikely."
He would never associate with such filth.

''I see about older wizards. I'll admit I still imagine wizards as elderly men with long beards and robes. I know. I know. I shouldn't stereotype. At least I came across a different wizard.'' He smiled.
''I should be a lot more careful with my other identity. I remember the usual smile revealing long teeth. When I revealed a tentacle from my chest or mouth. I could never remain hidden at all.''
There was another frown from Amos.
''I see about not locating any Muggles here.''

"Not all wizards look like that. It is a Muggle stereotype." He gave a slight nod.
"Indeed, although this world does not keep such things hidden.
Lucius gave another nod.
"Indeed, Tagmus Mire seems to be largely devoid of Muggles and I seldom travel to areas where Muggles are."

''I don't know about Muggles, but I remember seeing drawings of wizards in books. From the rare times when I watched TV. Old men in pointy hats. Robes. Beards. Etc,'' Amos said.
There was one other frown from the preacher.
''So I would fit in with this world. I mainly reveal that I'm not one percent human when I'm confident. Rarely for self defense. At least with tentacles.'' Amos heard Lucius as he mentioned Tagmus Mire. ''It's good to know that there aren't any Muggles in Tagmus Mire.''

"Those are all Muggle things, which would explain the stereotype," Lucius mentioned.
"I believe you will, as there is no laws against being non-human or magical." Lucius gave a small nod at Amos' words. "At least I have not seen any Muggles there."

''Muggles created the stereotype?'' Bewilderment appeared in his dark eyes. They narrowed as he concentrated. ''I guess that explains everything,'' he muttered. Amos shrugged his shoulders casually. He continued with walking.
Amos had to remain focused on his surroundings. He couldn't be his usual reckless self. Then again, a creature most likely wouldn't have cared if he was human or not. It would have probably attacked him no matter what.
''It's a relief about others being allowed to exist. Were there aliens in your world?''
Amos then wondered if he was able to locate fellow aliens. Perhaps? He didn't exactly have a clue.

"Yes, it came from their stories about wizards." He nodded in agreement with the preacher's words. "It does indeed," he replied.
"I suppose it is. No, our world does have magical beasts, though."
Lucius had never heard of aliens in the wizarding world. Perhaps they were a Muggle creation, too.

''Why would Muggles stereotype wizards?'' Amos asked. He shook his head in utter disbelief. He wondered if they also stereotyped preachers. Regular aliens. He then smiled again. The corner of his mouth almost reached his eye.
''I doubt my master is a Muggle.'' He frowned again. ''Hmmm. Unity is an alien, though. Wait a minute. I served a Muggle the entire time?''
Amos attempted to imagine crossing paths with magical creatures.
''Which is the strongest magical creature in your world? The weakest?'' If Amos did come across one? If the magical animal appeared to be friendly? Again, he had to remember to not let his guard down. Even if a magical animal did appear to be cute and cuddly.

"I have no idea," Lucius replied. He did not care to delve into the minds of Muggles. They were lesser beings and not worth much thought.
"Hmmm." He raised an eyebrow. "Oh? I see. Hmmm? I wouldn't know."
Lucius did not know anything about aliens.
"The strongest magical creature would likely be a dragon. As for the weakest, I would say a flobberworm would fit that category." Lucius was no magizoologist, though.

''Well, Unity isn't magical. Well, I'm not with him any longer.'' His eyes were wide for a second. Shoulders then slumped. ''Unity did give me a sense of purpose. I can find my own reason.''
Dragons?
Amos then smiled again.
''I remember reading about dragons. Creatures with wings and able to breathe fire. Is it another stereotype? I'm sure there are different types of dragons. Maybe. Who knows?''
Confused, Amos blinked repeatedly.
''Flobberworm? I've definitely never heard of one. Do they look like regular worms?''
