A sudden frown appeared on Reverend Amos Howell's long face when he was in one unfamiliar area. The large brim of his hat protected his eyes from the sun. He attempted to disregard the heat. He wasn't certain which plant types were which. Amos started to wonder if he was going to locate any form of unity. Humans or animals. ''I won't be picky.''
Brown hair framed Reverend Howell's face and the preacher coat managed to stick to his body.
Amos wasn't going to mind if even snarling animals appeared. Was he willing to use tentacles to protect himself? He guessed. What were the chances of him locating his master? Slim? Most likely zero.
Amos started to sway from the heat. He collapsed on his palms and frowned another time. He stood at a snail's pace and looked around. How could he gather crowds with ease and fall from heat?
The search was continued.
Another thing for the preacher to locate?
Water.

Lucius was not one for going off the beaten path. However, he was in need of some potion ingredients. Not only did the blonde wizard sell potions that he had brewed himself, but he also sold ingredients. Unfortunately, this meant getting into unpleasant locations, such as the hot and humid jungle. Lucius occasionally cast a spell to help cool himself, but otherwise focused on getting what he needed so he could leave. However, a familiar figure up ahead got his attention and he began heading towards them.

Reverend Howell swayed from the heat another time. Scowling, he refused to collapse again. He thought he viewed a form. His scowl remained as he squinted. At least it was a form of unity. Then again, perhaps the heat caused him to hallucinate.
Amos began to address the form. He used his usual Southern accent.
''The Reverend Amos Howell. One preacher searching for unity. It seems as though I located it.'' The corner of his mouth went up and trembled for a second.

Lucius raised an eyebrow at the familiar voice. He had only met one person who was solely focused on unity. In stark contrast to the reverend's Southern accent, Lucius' was his usual upper-crust English accent. "Lucius Malfoy. I wouldn't say that. I am simply here to collect ingredients."

The preacher's eyes widened as soon as he heard one familiar voice. ''Lucius?!'' He almost asked why the latter was there before he got his answer. He placed a hand on his hot forehead. ''What sorts of ingredients?'' Amos swayed another time.
''Injuries and then heat. The world isn't fond of me.''
Amos attempted another smile. He recalled his previous injuries. Joining Lucius and having a conversation with him. He didn't know if there was going to be a different conversation.

Lucius nodded in response. "Indeed." Although the heat was unpleasant, he seemed to be handling it better than Amos. Perhaps it affected shapeshifters differently. "Potion ingredients." Lucius nodded once more.
"Well, you do seem to appear in the most uncomfortable positions. First the hard ground and now a steaming hot jungle."

Amos gave one small smile for a split second. ''I should be used to the heat. Being from Kansas.'' Then again, Amos was never in a similar area. He remembered a few trees here and there. One revival tent. Sometimes wandering the streets of Metropolis.
''I see about potion ingredients,'' Amos said after he nodded. His shoulders went up. ''Perhaps I can help. Although I don't know a whole lot about potions.''
Amos smiled again.
''True about the hard ground and one hot jungle.''

Lucius gave Amos a small smile. Hmmm, the heat could very well be different from your home, though. Especially with this humidity."
"Indeed," Lucius replied. "I'm sure I'll find what I need. Potions was always something I excelled in."
"Indeed."

Amos then frowned and bit his lip. ''I never considered the possibility of different heat.'' He had to smile another time. Amos remembered gathering crowds for his master. Yet heat caused him to collapse. Then again, extreme heat was one weakness. His alien and human forms.
''Lead the way to the potions.''
If anything attacked them?
Amos wasn't sure if he could protect his companion. He could certainly try. Assuming the hot weather didn't weaken him again. Amos looked around. There didn't seem to be any other forms of life. Amos was about unity, but not when groups attacked him or a friend of his.

Lucius raised an eyebrow at the frown. Well, it is a possibility nonetheless." After all, wizards could be affected by heat, too. Not to mention humidity making things seem hotter than they actually were. He nodded in response before continuing his search for potion ingredients.
"Very well, then."

''I can gather crowds with ease, but heat?'' Amos shook his head in complete disbelief. ''Hopefully it won't be very hot when we get to the potions. Is there a potion that could possibly cool me down?'' He gave one half-smile. Jokes from the alien preacher? Maybe the air was getting to him.
Amos was willing to go to any place for the potions.
''Maybe the potion shop will have air conditioning.'' There he went with the jokes again. Then again, Amos did have a gruesome sense of humor sometimes. Revealing long teeth in a smile. His grin as a tentacle was revealed. It was just when he was near enemies. Lucius wasn't the enemy to him.
Amos had to remain focused. He couldn't let the heat weaken him another time.

"I doubt there's anyone to gather here in the jungle." Lucius glanced briefly at the preacher. "It shouldn't be, although that won't be happening until I finish here. I do not have any potions on me, but there is a spell that might help."
Lucius wasn't sure if Amos would appreciate getting a jet of water in his face, though.
"My shop is comfortable enough." He raised an eyebrow at the tentacle appearing.

''Animals. Humans. They're unity to me,'' Amos said. He shrugged his shoulders. One of his eyes widened slowly. He frowned again.
''What sort of spell?''
Amos then smiled. ''I'm glad to hear about a comfortable shop.'' There was a nod from him.
''I could have been one potions expert, but I was a preacher for my entire life.''

"Hmm. I fail to see how preaching to animals would be successful. They don't care for that sort of thing," Lucius remarked. Animals did what they wanted. They were not like people. People could be manipulated. He raised an eyebrow at the preacher's concern.
"Nothing that will cause harm, unless you happen to be allergic to water."
Lucius nodded at that. "If it wasn't comfortable enough, I wouldn't get customers."
"I see."
